Losing weight is not easy, I really do know and understand that.

So How Do I Lose Weight?

I have trained many people over the years and I have studied, investigated, evaluated and processed a lot of information on this subject. The most important thing to know is that the body is an amazing and logical functioning miracle. You really must respect your body and understand why it behaves the way it does.
Even though your body is a miracle, the process of losing weight is not a miracle as such, as those of you who have been battling their weight problems for years already know, it takes total dedication and commitment. But once you decide and commit, the results are even better than you ever dreamed of.
There are 3 CRUCIAL elements to the weight loss process, now I said crucial because I mean it, just doing 2 of the 3 will not work, and if it does, then you will never maintain your weight loss. Yes maintenance is something to know about too.

So How Do I Lose Weight?

There are 3 CRUCIAL elements to the weight loss process, now I said crucial because I mean it, just doing 2 of the 3 will not work, and if it does, then you will never maintain your weight loss. Yes maintenance is something to know about too.

1. Nutrition, probably the most important element, because most people don't take nutrition seriously enough. You need to go and get blood tests done, then go find a nutrionist who specializes in naturopathy. You must understand every individual is unique, a nutrition program your best friend got from her nutrionist may not necessarily work for you, simply because the chemical reaction in her nutrition plan is not what you need. Please remember what I said earlier, it is not what you are eating, it is what you are NOT eating!

2. Muscle Mass, this is another element women especially never stick to, an exercise program in the gym to build muscle mass is another crucial factor...yes I did stress crucial. Now don't yell "but I don't want to get bulked". Ladies, I have been working in gyms for over 20 years, do you know how long it takes for a guy to build his muscle mass? Do you realize how hard he works for it? So no! You will not bulk up, but know this, having more muscle mass changes your body composition so that you will burn more calories per hour. Why does your husband or boyfriend lose weight in a second and you just have to look at food to gain weight? The more muscle mass you have the leaner you will be, look at Madonna and Demi Moore.

I love to say: a kitten will never grow into a lion. Everyone has a natural in-built peak level which limits your muscle growth. So you don’t just grow and grow and grow. When you reach your maximum Guys, and you want to really bulk up more you need to take protein shakes. I am not an advocate of taking shakes, but after a while you cannot eat the amount of proteins you need to mass up. Some guys take steroids that raises testosterone levels,  please don't touch this stuff, it really messes up your system, like high cholesterol, acne, high blood pressure, also thickens the left ventricle wall of your heart, meaning high risk for a heart attack. Besides all that it causes havoc to your liver and kidneys the stress on your liver causes severe liver damage from having to deal with all the foreign chemicals in such large doses.  Which I think is a shame for a young healthy person aware of your body, to damage it for no great reason.

So now ladies you see why you will not bulk up so easily. So please thank any muscle mass you can gain, this is what will protect you over the next coming years.

 

3. Aerobics, now this part of the triple action is the one you have to be the most careful with. There are a lot of myths surrounding aerobic exercise. I wish I could sign you all with a legal contract that says you are not allowed to go over the 50 or even 60 minute mark of exercising in aerobics. Too much aerobics has adverse results to what you would think that you should have. I know you are asking "but aerobics burns the calories" - well, not necessarily. When you go on the elliptical machine for 3 hours and it reads that you burned 3,000 calories, it is simply not true. Here's why, first of all your body becomes more efficient at conserving energy as you get used to the machine, so each time you go on it your body burns less calories than the last time. Here's another reason, if you are overweight and stay overweight even though you work out for hours with aerobics every day, you have asked yourself "why am I not losing weight?", good question,  you have now  come to the realization that your body is cheating you and not burning calories at all.

So remember Nutrition, Muscles Mass and Aerobics....
